	Come and stay in the Cowshed and enjoy the beautiful Isle of Wight countryside Located on a quiet country lane in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that belies its proximity to the beautiful and historic town of Newport, the Cowshed is a holiday home with a view. Adjoining 17th century farmhouse, the barn was added around 200 years later and has been converted in a style that is in keeping with its surroundings. Overlooking a large pond and boasting many original features, yet comfortable enough to call home, visitors can enjoy beautiful views from the comfort of the sitting room. They also have use of the owner’s garden where they might spy a handful of chickens or a small herd of Berkshire pedigree pigs located nearby. The Cowshed is a real gem in the heart of the Island, close to the major town of Newport, and the perfect place from which to explore the many attractions of the Isle of Wight. Its large living accommodation makes it ideal for both families and couples alike. For the walkers and mountain bikers the nearest bridlepath is just at the end of the garden and leads to Carisbrooke Castle and the downs. The National Cycle Network can be accessed at the end of the road. On the Isle of Wight this is a flat cycleway that links Cowes to Sandown, along the old railway line. 	Chickens Chickens lhave free range of gardens. Guests are free to feed them and collect the eggs.
